Auditioning to be a National News Host - CFox

I was listening to Tyler and Lynch Show on CFOX radio 99.3FM in Vancouver one fateful afternoon when we learned that Lisa LaFlamme our Canadian Journalist Extraordinaire was abruptly let go from CTV National News.

While our nation was shook, Tyler saw an opportunity and came on air saying he was going to take over as the CTV National News host. With dramatic news music he said, “welcome to the newwssss”, petering off at the end as if caught not knowing what to say.

Lynch told Tyler he was terrible then they cut to music. When they came back on air Tyler said they have received a ton of texts saying how terrible of a job he did. So he said, “if you think you can do better, call in”. This was my chance to show off what I have learned in Voice Over!

I promptly checked the latest news headlines and wrote my own news headlines. The whole time, in my head, I had Chris Gailus from BCTV news and his engaging news headlines that make you want to watch the news at 6pm.

I called in nervously and well I will let you have a listen:
